Despite our tired and bedraggled state, the four of us pushed through.  After a short while freshening up at the hotel, we went and had a great dinner at Deacon Brodie's Tavern.  There was haggis!  Our window table overlooked the street and the Fringe Festival shenanigans.

After that it was a short walk to the Edinburgh castle but the slow-moving crowds made it a long walk.  Watched the Military Tattoo show.  Kept nodding off in our seats and harbored a small fear that we would tumble down the stadium.










































We managed to stay "awake" until the end of the festival, then walked back to our hotel.  All of us went promptly to bed except Steven, who attempted to stay out but every bar he tried was "past their license" - in other words, no longer serving.
